Letter to Mordaxius

My lord Mordaxius:

It's my pleasure to announce my return from the mission you entrusted me with. While the journey was long and difficult, I'm glad to report that my findings were quite rewarding.

As you speculated, the place known as The Rift is indeed being consumed by an ever-growing mass of darkness, constantly assaulted by mad shadows that seek nothing but one's destruction. I attempted to commune with one of these beings to no avail; it's most likely that only a person attuned to the spirit world, such as yourself, can accomplish this.

While perilous, I do believe an outpost in the area is possible, but it'll require your presence to keep the entities at bay. Of course, I'll leave that decision to you. Once I have the chance to meet you privately, it's of the utmost importance that you receive a more detailed report, as there's a man within The Rift, a Wortai spiritualist of all people, who I believe needs to be discussed further.
