Soldier's Annotations

My memory has been particularly faulty these past days; I decided to take some notes on recent events, as I consider them of the utmost importance.

It's been days since I left our master in the barracks after the ritual that allowed my brethren to escape. They managed to bring plenty of villagers from the town of Emberville, but some of them are quite resilient. Mordaxius has been able to examine all of them and harvest their kymia, but something's not right. I don't trust that sketchy wizard.

Not long ago, I overheard conversations between my soldiers. They believe The Master is gone, and nobody is going to help them escape now. While I know the truth about his fate, I can't reveal his ghastly condition to them, lest their spirits get shattered. But, considering how a lot of them are shifting their loyalty to some other leader, perhaps it'll be for the best.

I bet Mordaxius is behind this revolt. I noticed that the kymia he's been harvesting from the villagers is being used for nothing more than his decadent experiments, and plenty of our warriors still lie in their beds, unable to recover. I must get to the bottom of this.
